Josephine & Jack our two anatomically correct characters!

Josephine & Jack are two anatomically correct characters who help us here at CAN. We realised that there was a lack of resources for people with learning difficulties to learn about sensitive topics and we wanted to step up to change this. So, we invited Josephine and Jack into our organisation to help us out, making it easier for our service users to learn and understand about the human body and different interactions, as well as creating a safe space for our service users to speak about personal issues that don’t come up in normal conversation!
Josephine and Jack were created as part of the Josephine and Jack Project which began in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2015. We are so proud to be able to help grow the Josephine & Jack Project as we believe that the work they do is crucial in spreading awareness and helping us become a more inclusive and accepting society.
