“With the purchase of Lislagan farm in 2021, CAN) is embarking on a period of exciting change.

CAN has always been bold and never run from a challenge and it is time for CAN to ‘put down roots’ and be in control of its own destiny. This acquisition future-proofs our expansion, our development and enables us to amend and adjust as the needs of our people flex.  It also gives us ‘room to grow’ our self-sufficiency and to further reduce our reliance on statutory funding/charitable giving which expanding what we can offer for future generations.

We bought a farm so that we could grow as a community, in confidence, in opportunities and in carrots!   We will create a space where people feel safe, feel valued and most importantly, belong.  The development will be bold, REAL and new will grow roots and nurture future generations.  Lislagan Farm will see us expand existing services including new social enterprise activities horticulture, tourism and catering as well as the creation of the first-ever respite village in Ireland! Lislagan Farm will support CAN to ‘go deeper’, working with individuals who ‘slip through the cracks’ including those with complex needs and forensic backgrounds, improving outcomes for individuals .  It will enable us to ‘widen our impact’ to enable people from all over NI and beyond to benefit from the opportunities it provides.  It will be a space where people play, dream, make friends, break up, make up, work, learn and rest….a place where the only difference is in the seasons.
